There are two Section 8 programs available through the Arizona Public Housing Authority:

Project-Based Rental Assistance is available to those who meet certain criteria based on income, size of family, etc. Housing Choice Voucher Program is available only in Yavapai County through the Arizona Public Housing Authority. More...

The Mortgage Revenue Bond Program provides an attractive 30-year fixed rate mortgage at below market rates for first time homebuyers who qualify for eligible FHA, VA, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac conventional loans. More...

The amount of down payment assistance available under this program is adjusted based on the homebuyer's income:

• Above 80% Area Median Income (AMI): up to 5% of the purchase price or appraisal whichever is less.
  
• 60-80% AMI: up to 10% of purchase price or appraisal, whichever is less, plus up to $3,000 for closing costs.
  
• Below 60% AMI: up to 15% of purchase price or appraisal, whichever is less, plus up to $3,000 for closing costs.
  
• Maximum of $20,000 in combined assistance. More...
